Albums of the Year
Music, Year-End, Reader Lists | By The Top 13 on December 2, 2011
With 2011 now nothing but a memory, we reveal the Top 13 Albums of the Year, as selected by our readers. For the third straight year, we received far more submissions than we had expected, and, once again, the results suggest that the public largely agrees with the blogs and other media outlets on 2011's best albums.
Honorable mentions go to the albums with the next seven highest vote totals: The Decemberists' The King Is Dead (14); Beirut's The Rip Tide (15); Cults' self-titled debut (16); Zola Jesus' Conatus (17); My Morning Jacket's Circuital (18); Real Estate's Days (19); and Gang Gang Dance's Eye Contact (20).
And now, your Top 13 Albums of 2011:
